Innovative Grant application

To all Area Teachers of Mathematics

ATMOPAV invites innovative mini-grant requests for creative and diverse projects which are designed to enhance and enrich the teaching of mathematics. A grant will be awarded in each of the three levels of elementary, middle and high school .

Grant requests for up to $1000 per year are welcome.

The process for application is simple and the decision process is efficient and streamlined.

ATMOPAV Encourages Innovation

The innovative grants are awarded to teachers to encourage creativity in the teaching of mathematics. To encourage this creativity, ATMOPAV encourages teacher collaboration on projects. Teams of teachers may apply. Tap into the energy of others and develop synergy among your colleagues. Talk to each other!

Mini Grant Requirements/Restrictions

• Innovative Grant funds must be used to directly enhance or enrich the teaching of mathematics for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

• Innovative Grant funds must be used within eighteen months of the award.

• Any purchased items become the property of the school and must be inventoried.

• Funds should be used to benefit as many students as possible, not individual students.

• Teacher conferences, travel, salaries, or stipends will not be funded.

• Winning teachers must present their project at an ATMOPAV conference within eighteen months.

• Winning teachers must write a brief description of the use of the project for the ATMOPAV quarterly newsletter.
