ATMOPAV Logo Contest
Association of Teachers of Mathematics of Philadelphia and Vicinity
Fall 2008
The Association of Teachers of Mathematics of Philadelphia and Vicinity (ATMOPAV) invites you to participate in a Logo Art Contest. The Board of Directors will be accepting entries from students, teachers, and/or artists for a replacement logo. The winning logo will become the official logo of the Association, appearing on promotional materials, the website, newsletters, and other items.
Official Contest Rules
Eligibility: All students, teachers, and artists in the Philadelphia region are eligible to enter.
Contest Deadline: HAS BEEN EXTENDED to October 1, 2008
Prize: Only one entry will be determined to be the winner. The contest winner will receive a $100 bookstore gift card.
Guidelines and Rules for Logo:
• Reflect the meaning of mathematics or the teaching of mathematics
• Be original, creative, simple, unique
• Can be a name and/or symbol containing text and/or original illustration
• Project the Association's intended image
• Add visual appeal to documents and materials
• No more than three colors may be used
• Image must be easily enlarged or reduced in size
• All resources and images must be free of copyright
• Multiple entries are permitted
Agreement: The entrant agrees that in consideration for entry into the contest, the entrant releases any copyright or other ownership rights to the submitted logo design. ATMOPAV shall be allowed to use the submitted logo for any purpose deemed suitable in its sole direction without payment of any kind to entrant. ATMOPAV reserves the right to declare no winner.
Judging: The members of the ATMOPAV Board of Directors will judge the entries on a pre-determined set of criteria including, but not limited to, the guidelines and rules listed above. The winner will be notified by email or through the winner's teacher. The winning logo will be unveiled at the annual Spring Banquet and will be posted prominently on the ATMOPAV website and highlighted in the Spring ATMOPAV Newsletter.
